Iolite's name comes from the Greek word "ion," meaning "violet." These chips are a shimmering sapphire blue/violet color, and are perfect combined with blue topaz, peridot or amethyst. Please be sure to rinse before stringing to avoid color bleed. Because these beads are hand-crafted, colors and size will vary. Strand appears darker in person, but under light you will see the lighter shades. One 36" iolite chip strand.
